It’s that time of year again–time to show your person that you still like hanging out with them! It can be stressful to make “the perfect plan,” so this year, we did the planning for you, no matter your budget! Follow the links to your hotel and dinner reservations and escape into the romance.
Homebody - $
Que up your favorite binge show, put on your favorite sweats, and head to the Culver’s drive-thru. Pick up the family pack of those amazing chicken tenders and get excited for the coziest date night in. On your way home, be sure to stop at Kwik Trip to pick up a bottle of Wollersheim wine. Before you melt too far into the couch, preheat the oven for these amazing, easy, festive AF cookies!
Adventure - $$
Pack your bags for a budget friendly trip to explore Baraboo! Book a room at Willowood Inn–an affordable, cozy stay located just outside of Devil’s Lake State Park. Enjoy a delicious dinner from a menu full of everything (with great portions for the price) at Little Village Cafe. Cozy in for the night, and then wake up the next morning and head out for a stunning hike. Make your way to Steinke Basin if you’re looking for a more relaxing hike, or strap on your Ice Traxs and head up the bluffs of Devils Lake. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head into town and pick up a pastry from Neat-O’s Bakery to enjoy on your way home.
Romantic - $$$
Escape to Lake Geneva for an intimate weekend away. Check into a gorgeous room at the Maxwell Mansion and then seek out the speakeasy bar on their property. Enjoy one of their great cocktails, then head out to your dinner reservations at Pier 290. Indulge in a great meal overlooking beautiful Geneva Lake, and be sure to save room for dessert! (The cobbler is amazing!) Back at The Maxwell, stop by the Apothecary bar for an after dinner drink before you settle in for the night. Take your time waking up and then head to Inspired Coffee Co to start the day. Stroll the shops of Downtown Lake Geneva then make your way to the Ice Castles. After taking in the icy beauty, stop at Studio Winery + Geneva Lake Distillery for a wine or spirit tasting and some appetizers to end the trip.
Luxury - $$$$
If you’re looking for the ultimate Valentine’s Day getaway, Sundara Spa is your destination! This adult only, no phone zone is the perfect setting to relax and unwind. When you book a room at Sundara, you have access to their amazing day spa, which includes a dreamy purifying bath ritual, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, and wellness classes. Book one of their incredible services and receive some extra pampering. I highly recommend the River Stone Facial or Elements Hydrotherapy Massage for some serious spa luxury–they are the two best services I’ve ever had! Once you're ready to change out of the fluffy bathrobe, get ready for your dinner reservation at The Del-Bar supper club. Once your belly is full from their truly incredible food, head over to Red’s Piano Bar for some amazing cocktails and fun entertainment to end the night…and then get on back to that fluffy robe!
